- Receive school credit ONLY for internship
- Able to work in our local location (Newport News, VA)
- 4-6 hours per week minimum
- Available to work weekends on occasion.

The purpose of our internship is to provide college students with tools and hands-on experiences to see first-hand what entrepreneurship looks like.
Through our internship program, students will have the option to learn everything from business administration, branding, blogging, social media, photography, graphic design to styling and more.⠀⠀
Students will be able to choose which department they would like to intern for to determine which fields they are interested in or to pursue more experience in a career field, while still having the option to explore other departments to learn various skills and discover different interests and, most importantly, see first-hand all the work needed in successfully running a business.

EDITORIAL INTERN
Editorial Interns help us take The Mint Sweater content to the next level.
They spend their days crafting blog posts and pitching ideas to our founder and editor. They will be reaching out to bloggers and brands for interviews and collaborations. Editorial interns will also help create content for newsletters, social media prompts and captions, and our downloadable guides and e-books. Finally, they will help manage the Mint Sweater Girl Book Club.
The editorial department is perfect for those who are interested in writing, editing, layout, copywriting, and content creation.
EVENTS INTERN
Our event intern helps us grow our Mint Sweater Girl community and bring our monthly gatherings from ideas to reality.
The event department is responsible for brainstorming event/meet-up ideas, planning and executing monthly gatherings for our Mint Sweater Girl community, outreach and coordinating with vendors, working with our marketing department to spread the word about upcoming events.
This department is perfect for those who are interested in event planning and coordinating.
BUSINESS ADMIN INTERN
Our business administration internship is the most time commitment and workload, but also the best position to experience every aspect of running a business.
Interns will spend their days managing and organizing our emails and accounts. They will be responsible for updating and managing the project management software and maintaining business calendars and schedules. They will coordinate with all other intern departments and assist when needed. Finally, they will assist our founder with various tasks when needed.
This department is perfect for those who would like to learn the ins and outs of running a business.
MARKETING/PR INTERN
A marketing intern spends their days' planning and scheduling content for our social media platforms along with engaging with our audiences across our blog and social media platforms.
They research and connect with other brands, businesses, and bloggers to form relationships and work on collaborations.
They will also be in charge of using and creating new marketing strategies and sales funnels for our upcoming launches and events.
Our marketing interns will have hands-on learning through social media marketing and ads, email marketing and sales funnels, and in-person marketing through our events and workshops.
The editorial department is perfect for those who are interested in marketing, public relations, learning social media management, and collaborating with other businesses.
PHOTOGRAPHY INTERN
Photography Interns help elevate the visual presence of The Mint Sweater.
Our photography interns spend their days planning shoots, styling flat lays and scenes, and photographing products, people, and styled setups.
Our photography department is responsible for keeping track of what photos will be needed for the upcoming months for each of the different departments as well as taking photos for The Mint Sweater website, social media platforms, and blog.
Photography Interns will be required to have some knowledge of DSLR cameras, Photoshop, and Lightroom.
The photography department is perfect for those who are interested in improving their photography skills, interested in using photography to work with companies, and love styling.
GRAPHIC DESIGN INTERN
Our graphic design interns are responsible for creating graphics for our website, social media platforms, newsletters, and blog. They will help craft promotional materials and branding materials.
Interns will be required to have some knowledge of template use, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
The graphic design department is perfect for those who are interested in graphic design and using their skills to work with clients, brands, improve their design techniques, build portfolios, and gain more knowledge of design programs.
RETAIL INTERN
Retail interns help us step our Mint Sweater Shop
game up.
Retail interns spend their days managing the Mint Sweater shop by handling and fulfilling orders, managing shop customer service, updating the shop website and adding shop listings, assisting in planning and executing upcoming shop launches.
This department is perfect for those who are interested in starting their own shop, product shop, Etsy shop, or future online boutique. Also for those who are interested in learning the ins and out of running a retail business.
